The Purchase Department of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad Capital Territory, invites sealed bids for the procurement of ENT Surgical Instrument Sets under contract reference P90463 for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement includes multiple specialized surgical instrument sets designed for ENT procedures, to be delivered and installed at PIMS Hospital, Sector G-8/3, Islamabad.
Items being procured:
- Micro Ear Surgery Instrument Set (Qty: 2)
- OPD Surgical Instruments Set (Qty: 3)
- Septoplasty Surgical Set (Qty: 3)
- Tonsillectomy Surgical Set (Qty: 4)
- Rhinoplasty Surgical Set (Qty: 1)
- General Surgical Set (Qty: 2)
Each set includes comprehensive instruments for specific ENT surgeries, with detailed technical specifications and compliance requirements such as CE MDR certification, MDSAP certification, and FDA or equivalent regulatory approvals. The instruments must be imported, brand new, and accompanied by manufacturer catalogues and compliance reports. Pre-shipment inspection by an Electro Medical Engineer and end user is mandatory.
Bidders must be registered with PEC, FBR, and DRAP where applicable, and provide bid security as specified. The procurement will follow a Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) method using a Single Stage Two Envelope procedure via the EPADS v2.0 e-procurement portal. Bids must be submitted electronically on EPADS by 11:00 AM on October 3, 2026, with original bid security submitted physically at PIMS Purchase Department before the deadline. Manual bids will not be accepted.
The contract includes a two-year comprehensive warranty, annual preventive maintenance, and 24/7 technical support. Delivery and installation must be completed within 120 days of award. Performance guarantee of 10% of contract price is required within 7 days of letter of intent issuance.
Interested bidders should ensure full compliance with all technical and eligibility criteria, including valid certifications and experience in supplying medical instruments to public sector institutions. One practical tip for bidders is to register early on EPADS v2.0 and carefully review all bidding documents and addenda to avoid disqualification due to procedural errors.
This procurement offers a significant opportunity for qualified suppliers to provide high-quality ENT surgical instruments to a premier medical institute in Islamabad, supporting advanced patient care and surgical services.
