Tender Description
Bahria University Islamabad invites bids for the establishment and shifting of the boys and girls gym remaining work at Bahria University Karachi Campus (BUKC) located in Islamabad. This procurement is for civil, electrical, and plumbing works including repair, replacement, installation, and finishing tasks as detailed in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Items being procured:
- Repair/replacement of damaged corrugated roof sheets with sealing and rainwater drainage system
- Installation of exterior façade with aluminium composite panels
- Plain cement concrete base layer
- Block masonry with GI wire mesh
- Precast reinforced concrete roof slabs with girders
- Cement sand plaster on internal walls
- Ceramic/porcelain tiles on floors and walls
- PVC/flush doors with fittings
- Replacement of aluminium channels for false ceiling
- Gypsum false ceiling panels
- Construction of partition cubicles with laminated MDF sheets
- Tint paper on elevation glazing
- Tivara stone on staircase
- Vinyl flooring
- Toughened glass doors with aluminium profiles and automatic swing operator
- Aluminium sliding/fixed windows
- Wooden framework with MDF cladding and SPC flooring
- Fixed glass windows with aluminium frame
- Staircase finishing including wooden steps, polishing, anti-slip treatment, and tempered glass panels

- Installation, shifting and commissioning of existing split AC units
- 3-phase main power cable installation
The scope includes dismantling, demolition, masonry, flooring, installation of doors/windows, electrical wiring, plumbing, painting, and finishing works. The contractor must provide all materials, labor, tools, and equipment and execute the works as per drawings, BOQ, and instructions of the Engineer In-Charge. The contract requires PEC registration in C-5 category with at least 5 years of experience, valid NTN, and no litigation or blacklisting. The contract duration is 60 days with a defect liability period of one year. Payment terms include minimum running IPC of PKR 3 million with payments within 30 days after verification and final payment within 56 days after acceptance certificate. Bid security of PKR 250,000 in the form of pay order is required. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by August 4, 2026, 11:00 AM. Manual bids will be rejected. Technical and financial bids are submitted separately with bid security included in the technical bid. The contract will be awarded on least cost based selection. The contractor is responsible for repair/replacement of any damage during execution and must ensure safety at site. Shop drawings and as-built drawings are the contractor's responsibility. Interested bidders may visit the site before bid submission. One practical tip: Ensure your PEC registration and all mandatory documents are valid and submitted correctly to avoid disqualification. Also, register early on EPADS v2.0 and carefully follow the two-envelope bidding procedure to ensure your bid is accepted.
