Tender Description
Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) invites bids for excavation and carriage/transportation of Rock Salt from Tunnel No. 5 at PMDC Salt Mines Khewra. This procurement is specifically for contractors registered with Sales Tax/Income Tax Departments and Punjab Revenue Authority, active on the Federal Board of Revenue taxpayers list. The contract covers a period of three years for excavation and one year for carriage/transportation.
The technical scope includes raising, excavation, and separation of good quality saleable Rock Salt from Tunnel No. 5, fragmentation of boulders for loading in tractor trolleys, and transportation of Rock Salt to PMDC Salt Depot Khewra and M/s LCI Khewra directly. The contractor is responsible for loading, unloading, and ensuring quality salt as per site management directions. Explosives for excavation will be provided by PMDC at actual cost. The contract also includes maintenance of mine infrastructure such as tunnels, galleries, and ventilation if required.
Eligibility requires contractors to have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with supporting work orders, registration with local tax authorities, FBR, and PRA, and sound financial health with certified bank statements for the last 12 months. Contractors must submit bid money of Rs. 500,000 in the form of pay order/demand draft. Affidavits regarding litigation, conflict of interest, and no dispute with PMDC are mandatory.
The submission deadline is **17th July 2026 at 11:00 AM** via EPAD electronic bidding platform. Bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
