Extension of Existing OFC Network for Connectivity of E-Office at Pakistan Museum of Natural History Islamabad

The National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) Islamabad is procuring an extension of its existing Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) network to enhance connectivity for the E-Office at the Pakistan Museum of Natural History located in Shakarparian, Islamabad. This project involves the supply and installation of fiber optic cables, HDPE pipes, joint enclosures, and related accessories as detailed in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). The scope includes excavation in both kacha and pacca trenches, cable laying, splicing, fixing of OFDF, and road bore works to ensure seamless network expansion. The technical scope requires adherence to NTC and PTCL specifications, including the use of 12 fiber SM OFC G.652 D cables, HDPE pipes of 1 inch diameter, and preloaded OFDF with adapters and pigtails. The contractor must complete the work within eight weeks from the date of contract signing or receipt of necessary permissions. Eligibility criteria mandate that bidders must be registered with PEC in category C-6 or above, possess valid FBR registration with ATL status, and have completed at least two similar projects in Pakistan.
