Tender Description
NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi is procuring external painting services for the Engr. Abul Kalam Library located at its Main Campus. This tender invites qualified contractors to undertake comprehensive painting works including surface preparation, minor crack repairs, and application of high-quality paint as per the Bill of Quantities and technical specifications provided. The scope covers all external surfaces of the library building ensuring durability and aesthetic enhancement.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue and Sindh Revenue Board, possess valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration where applicable, and have at least three years of relevant experience with an average annual turnover of not less than PKR 1 million over the last three financial years. Firms must not be blacklisted and should provide an affidavit on stamp paper confirming their clean record. Submission of earnest money in the form of a pay order amounting to 2.5% of the bid cost is mandatory along with the bid.
Bids must be submitted electronically through the EPADS system only; manual submissions will be rejected. The original bid security must reach the office of the Deputy Director Procurement before the bid opening date. The deadline for submission and opening of bids will be as notified in the NIT, with a contract completion period of 45 days and a maintenance period of 6 months. Bidders are advised to visit the site prior to submission for better understanding of the work.
