Tender Description
This tender invites qualified drilling contractors and companies to conduct geotechnical investigations for the 1.5 MW Thooti Mini Hydropower Project located in District Kohistan Upper, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Issued by National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt) Limited from Lahore, this opportunity focuses on specialized field and laboratory testing services.
The scope includes execution of boreholes up to 28 meters depth using rotary drilling and percussion boring methods, core drilling in bedrock, excavation of test pits, and performance of Standard Penetration Tests (SPTs). Contractors will collect disturbed and undisturbed soil samples, rock core samples, and water samples for laboratory testing. The work demands precise logging, labeling, and transportation of samples, with strict adherence to ASTM standards. The project requires mobilization of at least two drilling rigs and completion of field and laboratory investigations within 75 days.
Applicants must hold valid PEC registration and demonstrate financial capability with an annual turnover of at least PKR 15 million over the last three years. FBR and PRA registration certificates are mandatory, along with a clean litigation history. The tender emphasizes compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, including PPE usage on site. PEC Category and FBR/ATL status must be current for the 2025-26 financial year to ensure eligibility.
