Hiring of Law Firm / Legal Practice on Retainership Basis

A Public Sector Organization, the Balochistan Board of Investment & Trade (BBoIT), invites applications and proposals from reputable and eligible Law Firms / Legal Practices for provision of legal services on a retainership basis. Items being procured: - Provision of legal advice on business, trade, corporate, commercial, financial, taxation, governance, procurement and regulatory matters - Drafting, vetting, review and interpretation of agreements, contracts, policies, notices, pleadings, legal opinions and other legal documents - Representation and appearance before courts, tribunals, regulators, statutory authorities and other competent forums - Assistance in litigation, dispute resolution, arbitration and other proceedings - Providing legal advice on matters referred by the Organization The selected Law Firm / Legal Practice will provide comprehensive legal services covering a wide range of corporate and regulatory issues. The scope includes advisory, documentation, representation, and dispute resolution support. Interested firms must be legally constituted and reputable with relevant experience. A proposed Lead Legal Advisor must hold a valid practicing license and be enrolled with the relevant Bar Council. Firms must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). They should have filed Income Tax Returns for the last three tax years and must not be blacklisted or debarred by any government department, public sector organization or competent authority. Submission of required affidavits and declarations regarding conflict of interest and other qualifications as per procurement documents is mandatory.
