Supply of HSD Pipeline Cathodic Protection System Transformer and Rectifier Unit at Machike Terminal

Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) invites quotations for the supply of a High-Speed Diesel (HSD) pipeline cathodic protection system Transformer and Rectifier Unit at the Machike Terminal located in Punjab. This procurement is critical for maintaining the integrity and protection of the HSD pipeline infrastructure against corrosion, ensuring operational safety and longevity. Items being procured: - Transformer Rectifier Unit (Qty: 1) The Transformer Rectifier Unit features an input of 200-230V 1Ph 50Hz with adjustable DC output voltage up to 50VDC and current up to 15A per channel. It is designed for indoor pad mounting with natural convection air cooling suitable for ambient temperatures up to 45°C. The unit includes phase angle control of a Thyristor rectifier for variable DC output, manual voltage control via potentiometer, and multiple protection devices such as AC input thermal/magnetic circuit breaker, MCB at each DC output channel, DC output surge arrester, and fuses for AC input and DC output. It is equipped with pilot lights, DC voltmeter, and DC ammeter for monitoring. The transformer uses high conductivity winding material on a low loss steel core with varnish impregnated and oven baked coils. Thyristors and diodes are mounted on extruded aluminum heat sinks with full wave rectification and ripple reduction filters to minimize AC ripple in DC output. The enclosure is epoxy powder coated with IP40 ingress protection and heavy duty brass bolt type terminals.
