Tender Description
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) in Quetta is procuring the providing and installation of illuminated emergency exit LED signs at the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) at Quetta International Airport (QIAP). This project aims to enhance passenger safety by installing universal mounted LED based illuminated exit signs with rechargeable LiFePO4 batteries providing at least 3 hours backup. The scope includes wiring with PVC insulated wires in UPVC conduits, fixing double face LED exit access, exit, and exit discharge signs as per site requirements and instructions of the Engineer In-charge.
Eligible bidders must be licensed constructors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-6 with specialization code EE-04. They must also be active taxpayers with valid NTN and ATL certificates and must not be blacklisted by any government or autonomous body. Joint ventures with foreign firms are allowed if registered with SECP. Bidders must submit original bid security of PKR 65,000 in acceptable form and provide all required documents including technical brochures and affidavits.
Bids must be submitted electronically via the EPADS portal before the closing date and time, with original bid security submitted physically before bid opening. The bid validity period is 120 days. The contract duration is 60 days from the written order to commence work. The Divisional Engineer E&M Quetta Division QIAP is the contact point for submissions and clarifications.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical submittals including product data sheets for LED signs and cables are complete and uploaded on EPADS, as failure to submit technical details will result in the bid being declared non-responsive.
