Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Gernalabad Road and Connecting Street in UC-12 Saddar, District South Karachi under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department. The project involves comprehensive civil and infrastructure works aimed at enhancing road conditions and associated utilities in the specified urban area.
Items being procured:
- Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in soft rocks including trimming and dressing sides, levelling bed, cutting joint holes, and disposal of surplus earth (12,500 Cft)
- Providing and laying RCC pipes ASTM 76-70 class-II wall band fixing in trenches (400 Rft of 12" diameter and 150 Rft of 18" diameter)
- Constructing manholes or inspection chambers with B.B walls, cement plaster, fixing CI manhole covers and MS steps (5 units)
- Refilling excavated material in trenches with watering and ramming (11,400 Cft)
- Full hire charges of pumping set per day including driver, assistant, fuel, and energy for pumping out water from trenches (10 days)
- Manufacturing and supplying RCC manhole covers with reinforcement and hooks (15 units)
- Manufacturing and supplying RCC ring slabs with embedded CI frame (5 units)
- Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil (19,865 Cft)
- Dismantling cement concrete plain 1:2:4 (4,400 Cft)
- Cartage of materials like aggregates, coal, lime, surkhi, bricks, etc. by trucks or other means (25,021 Sft)
- Preparing sub-base by supplying and spreading well graded pit or bed run gravel with compaction (3,525 Cft)
- Providing and laying aggregate base course with CBR 80% as per AASHTO standards (19,865 Cft)
- Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring of specified size and strength with joint filling (62,000 Cft)
- Repair of leakage of RCC pipeline under road/street (5 units each for 15" and 18" diameter)
- Repair of leakage of MS pipeline under road/street (5 units each for 15" and 18" diameter)
The technical scope covers excavation, pipe laying, manhole construction, refilling, pumping, manufacturing and installation of RCC components, earthwork, dismantling, cartage, sub-base preparation, base course laying, and paving block flooring. The site is located in Karachi, Sindh, and the project is funded by KMC.
