Tender Description
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department is procuring works for the improvement and rehabilitation of internal streets by providing and fixing paving blocks at multiple locations including Majeed Colony, Gulstan Society, Muzaffarabad Colony, and Labour Square in District Malir, Karachi. This tender invites qualified contractors to undertake comprehensive civil works involving excavation, pipe laying, manhole construction, road metalling dismantling, pumping, and paving block installation.
Items being procured:
- Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in soft rocks with trimming and dressing
- Providing fence guards, lights, flag sand temporary crossings
- Laying RCC pipes of ASTM 76-70 class-II with rubber ring joints
- Constructing manholes or inspection chambers with B.B. cement sand mortar and fixing CI manhole covers
- Refilling excavated trenches with watering and ramming
- Dismantling and removing road metalling
- Full hire charges of pumping set for water removal from trenches
- Manufacturing and supplying RCC manhole covers and ring slabs
- Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil
- Cartage of materials like aggregates, bricks, steel bars, etc.
- Providing and laying aggregate base course with compaction
- Laying 2" thick carpet asphalt concrete
- Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring of specified size and strength
- Repair of leakage of RCC and MS pipelines under road/streetways
The technical scope covers excavation, pipe laying, manhole construction, road surface preparation, and paving block installation with strict adherence to specifications and standards. The site is located in Karachi, Sindh, and the project is funded by KMC. Eligible bidders must possess valid PEC registration in the relevant category, NTN and SRB active tax payer status, and demonstrate experience in similar government works.
