Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites sealed bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Internal Streets of Shahbaz Goth and Surrounding Areas of UC-08, Sohrab Goth Town, District East, Karachi. This tender covers comprehensive civil works including excavation, laying of RCC pipes, construction of manholes, sub-base preparation, asphalt concrete wearing course, and paving blocks flooring. Items being procured: - Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in soft rock - Providing fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings - Laying RCC pipes of various diameters (12", 15", 18") - Refilling excavated material in trenches - Constructing manholes and inspection chambers with C.I manhole covers - Preparing sub-base with well graded gravel - Pumping out water from trenches - Manufacturing and supplying RCC ring slabs and manhole covers - Dismantling and removing road metaling and cement concrete - Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil - Cartage of materials like stone aggregate, coal, lime, bricks, etc. - Providing and laying aggregate base course - Laying asphalt concrete wearing course - Providing and fixing precast edge blocks and painting - Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring The scope includes all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to complete the works as per specifications and drawings. Bidders must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the appropriate category and comply with all eligibility criteria including financial and technical capacity. A bid security of 5% of the quoted amount is required. Bids must be submitted by 10:30 AM on 13-10-2026 at the same office and will be opened at 11:00 AM on the same day in the presence of bidders' representatives. The contract duration is 180 days with a penalty of Rs. 3,000 per day for delay.
