Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) in District East, Karachi - Package 02

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) in District East, Karachi under ADP#1765/2026-27, Package 02. This comprehensive civil works project includes the improvement and rehabilitation of key roads and associated infrastructure in Jinnah Town, District East, Karachi. The specific roads involved are: - Improvement/Rehabilitation of Johar Road from Johar Park to Ameer Khusro Road - Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road at Cumming Road from Yadgar Fish to Jahangir Road - Improvement/Rehabilitation of Jigar Murabadi Road from Shaikh Chowrangi to Islamia Govt. College - Improvement/Rehabilitation of Paver Block Work from Teen Hatti Flyover to in front of Central Jail The scope of work covers dismantling of existing asphalt and concrete roads, scarifying, cold milling, sub-base preparation, aggregate base course laying, asphalt concrete wearing course, and ancillary works including sewerage system repairs, manhole construction, median and footpath works, and road safety features such as cat eyes and pavement markings. The project requires the use of high-quality materials and adherence to specified technical standards, including ASTM and AASHTO specifications. Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-3 or above with relevant discipline codes, possess valid NTN and be on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) of FBR and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB). Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience, financial capacity, and technical capability, including availability of required machinery and qualified personnel. A bid security of 5% of the estimated cost (Rs. 5.00 Million) is mandatory. The tender documents are available for sale at a cost of Rs. 5,000 and bids must be submitted electronically via the SPPRA e-Procurement System (EPADS) by 20-08-2026 at 11:00 AM. The contract duration is 24 months with a penalty of Rs. 3,000 per day for delay.
