Tender Description
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) in District Central, Karachi under Package 07. The project includes the improvement and rehabilitation of roads at multiple locations within TMC Gulberg, District Central, Karachi. The specific roads involved are:
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of road at Darul Uloom Naemia to Trimax Hospital
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of road at Gulshan-e-Ameen to Sana Ullah Apartment
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of road at Islam Plaza 10,4,6,13 Tahir Villa
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of road at Qubba School to Children Park 16-B Shafique Colony
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of road at Razia Umer Hospital to Five Star Nimco Corner Block-15
The scope of work covers dismantling of existing asphalt and cement concrete roads, earth excavation, cartage of materials, preparation of sub-base and base courses, application of priming and tack coats, laying of asphalt concrete base, binder and wearing courses, repair of sewerage pipelines, construction of manholes, cleaning of sewerage lines, and installation of ancillary works such as cat eyes and pavement markings. The project is funded under Provincial ADP #1766/2026-27 with an estimated cost of **PKR 374,471,960**. The contract duration is 24 months with a penalty of PKR 3000 per day for delay.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in category C-3 or above, NTN and active taxpayer status with FBR and SRB, submission of bid security of 5% of estimated cost, and compliance with all SPPRA rules.
