Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) in District Central, Karachi - Package 08

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) in District Central, Karachi under ADP#1766/2026-27, Package 08. This package includes two major road rehabilitation works: (i) Improvement and rehabilitation of road from Gulberg Roundabout to DIG Office, TMC Gulberg, District Central, Karachi; and (ii) Improvement and rehabilitation of road from Tahir Villas to Moosa Colony Shahjee Axle Block-4, TMC Gulberg, District Central, Karachi. Items being procured: - Improvement and rehabilitation of road from Gulberg Roundabout to DIG Office - Improvement and rehabilitation of road from Tahir Villas to Moosa Colony Shahjee Axle Block-4 - Dismantling of existing asphalt concrete road including base and sub-base - Earth excavation, cartage of materials - Preparing sub-base with well graded gravel - Aggregate base course laying - Application of tack coat - Laying of 2" thick asphalt concrete wearing course - Repair of leakages in RCC and MS pipelines under roadway - Raising of existing sewerage manholes/service chambers - Excavation for sewerage pipeline, pipe laying, construction of manholes - Cleaning inside sewerage lines - Supplying and fixing of RCC manhole covers - Providing and fixing precast edge blocks for medians, footpaths, islands - Painting of masonry walls - Supply and fixing of cat eyes/road studs - Pavement marking with reflective thermoplastic paint The technical scope includes comprehensive civil works involving road dismantling, earthworks, sub-base and base course preparation, asphalt laying, sewerage system repairs and installations, median and footpath construction, and ancillary works such as road studs and pavement markings. The project is located in Karachi, Sindh province. Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-3 or above with relevant discipline codes, possess valid NTN and Sales Tax registration, be on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL), and have relevant experience and financial capacity. Bid security of 5% of the estimated cost is mandatory. Bidders must submit technical and financial bids online via the SPPRA e-procurement portal by 25-08-2026 at 11:00 AM. The technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Chairman Procurement Committee Engineering Department KMC, Muslimabad, Karachi. The contract duration is 24 months with a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delay. The estimated cost is Rs. 213,588,095.
