Tender Description
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in five Town Municipal Corporations (TMC) in District Central, Karachi, under ADP#1766/2026-27, Package 06. This comprehensive civil works project covers multiple road improvement and rehabilitation sites across TMC Nazimabad, TMC Liaquatabad, and TMC Gulberg within District Central, Karachi. The scope includes dismantling existing asphalt and cement concrete roads, earth excavation, sub-base preparation, aggregate base course laying, asphalt concrete wearing course application, and ancillary works such as pavement marking and installation of cat eyes.

The technical scope includes earthworks, sub-base and base course preparation, asphalt concrete laying, sewerage system repairs including pipe laying and manhole construction, median and footpath works, and ancillary road safety features. The project requires compliance with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in category C-3 or above, valid FBR and Sindh Revenue Board registration, and submission of bid security amounting to 5% of the estimated cost. The contract duration is 24 months with a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delays.
Bidders must submit their bids electronically via the SPPRA e-Procurement System (EPADS) by 25-08-2026 at 11:00 AM. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Chairman Procurement Committee, Engineering Department, KMC, Muslimabad, Karachi.
