Tender Description
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 05 Town Municipal Corporations (TMC) in District Central, Karachi under Provincial ADP#1766/2026-27. The project includes five packages covering various roads and service lanes in TMC New Karachi and TMC Nazimabad. Items being procured:
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Services Road from 4-K Chowrangi to Power House Chowrangi, TMC New Karachi
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road at Azizia Masjid to Millat Bakery, TMC Nazimabad
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road at Dr. M. Ali Shah Road near Imtiaz Super Market Nazimabad No.04, TMC Nazimabad
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road at Ibn-e-Sina Road, Petrol Pump to Eidgah Main Road Service Lane, TMC Nazimabad
- Improvement/Rehabilitation of Road at Nawab Siddiqui Ali Khan Road, Eidgah to Majestic Service Lane, TMC Nazimabad
The scope includes dismantling of existing road surfaces, earth excavation, aggregate base course laying, asphalt concrete wearing course, sewerage system repairs including pipe line leakages and manhole raising, median and footpath works, ancillary works such as road studs and pavement marking. The project requires use of quality materials and adherence to specifications with proper site management and safety measures. Eligible bidders must be registered with PEC in category C-3 or above with relevant disciplines, registered with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board, and not blacklisted. Bidders must submit bid security of 5% of estimated cost and comply with integrity pact requirements. The bid validity period is 90 days. Bids must be submitted online via SPPRA e-Procurement System (EPADS) by 25-08-2026 at 11:00 AM. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Chairman Procurement Committee, Engineering Department, KMC, Muslimabad, Karachi. The contract duration is 24 months with a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delay.
