Tender Description
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road Infrastructure in 4 Town Municipal Corporations (TMCS) in District Korangi, Karachi under Provincial ADP #1770/2026-27. This comprehensive project includes multiple packages focusing on road rehabilitation, paving, footpath works, and sewerage system improvements across various locations in Korangi district.
Items being procured:
- Rehabilitation of road from Govt. Mono Technical College Road to Baldia Dispensary Area 3-A Landhi Town
- Rehabilitation of road from Govt. Boys Secondary School Landhi No. 5-1/2 to Navy Road & Karbala Ground to Shahi Masjid UC-07 Landhi Town
- Providing and fixing of paving blocks at New Iqbalabad TMC Shah Faisal
- Improvement of service road from Colony Flyover to Sindh Bank TMC Shah Faisal
- Construction of 321 Damage Road TMC Korangi (Dual Track)
The technical scope covers dismantling of existing asphalt and concrete roads, earthwork excavation, aggregate base course laying, asphalt concrete wearing course, precast edge blocks, pavement marking, and sewerage line cleaning and manhole construction. The project requires use of quality materials meeting specified PSI standards and adherence to AASHTO and local specifications. The contractor must ensure proper site management, safety, and environmental protection throughout the execution.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in category C-3 or above with relevant disciplines, NTN and active taxpayer status with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board, minimum average annual turnover not less than the estimated cost, and possession of required machinery and technical staff. Bidders must submit bid security of 5% of the estimated cost and an integrity pact on stamp paper. Joint ventures are not allowed.
Key dates: Bids must be submitted online via SPPRA e-Procurement System (EPADS) by 26-08-2026 at 11:00 AM. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Chairman Procurement Committee Engineering Department KMC, Muslimabad, Karachi.
