Tender Description
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of road and sewerage system at Ward 1, UC-03, Gadap Town, District Malir, Karachi. This procurement is for comprehensive civil works including excavation, pipe laying, road metaling, pavement marking, and related infrastructure improvements.
Items being procured:
- Excavation for pipeline trenches and pits in soft rock
- Providing fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings
- Laying RCC pipes of ASTM C-76-62, classes II, 300 mm and 375 mm diameter
- Refilling excavated trenches with compaction
- Carriage of materials like stone aggregate, bricks, tiles, timber, fuel wood
- Construction of manholes and inspection chambers with B.B walls and cement plaster
- Full hire charges of pumping set for water removal from trenches
- Manufacturing and supplying RCC ring slabs and manhole covers
- Dismantling and removing road metaling
- Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil
- Preparing sub-base with well graded gravel
- Laying aggregate base coarse of 80% CBR
- Laying 2" thick asphalt concrete with paver finishing
- Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring
- Providing and fixing precast edge blocks
- Pavement marking with reflective thermo plastic paint
- Painting masonry walls (kerb blocks)
- Supplying and fixing reflectorized road studs
The scope includes all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the works as per specifications and drawings. Bidders must be registered with PEC in the relevant category and comply with all eligibility criteria including FBR and SRB active taxpayer status, submission of bid security, and integrity pact.
