Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road and Sewerage System at Ward 3, Gulshan-e-Hadeed Gadap Town, District Malir, Karachi

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of the road and sewerage system at Ward # 3, Gulshan-e-Hadeed Gadap Town, District Malir, Karachi. This project involves comprehensive civil works including excavation, pipe laying, road metaling dismantling, sub-base preparation, asphalt concrete paving, and installation of sewerage manholes and related infrastructure. Items being procured: - Excavation for pipeline trenches and pits in soft rock - Providing fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings - Supply and installation of RCC pipes (300 mm and 375 mm diameter) - Refilling excavated trenches with compaction - Carriage of materials like stone aggregate, bricks, timber, fuel wood - Construction of manholes and inspection chambers with B.B walls and cement plaster - Hire charges for pumping set for water removal from trenches - Manufacturing and supply of RCC ring slabs and manhole covers - Dismantling and removing road metaling - Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil - Preparation of sub-base with graded gravel - Laying aggregate base coarse as per AASHTO standards - Laying 2" thick asphalt concrete with hydraulic/electronic control - Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring - Providing and fixing precast edge blocks - Pavement marking with reflective thermo plastic paint - Painting masonry walls (kerb blocks) - Supply and fixing of reflectorized road studs The technical scope covers all civil and sanitary works as per the detailed Bill of Quantities and specifications. Bidders must be registered with PEC in the relevant category and possess valid NTN and SRB registrations. Experience in similar government projects and submission of earnest money in the form of pay order/CDR/bank guarantee is mandatory. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost. Bids must be submitted electronically via the SPPRA EPADS portal by 11 August 2026 at 11:30 AM. The bids will be opened online on the same day at 11:30 AM. Physical submissions are not accepted. The contract period is 90 days with a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delay.
