Improvement and Rehabilitation of Sewerage and Fixing of Paving Block at Sharafi Goth, UC-08, TMC Malir Town, Karachi

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of sewerage and fixing of paving blocks at Sharafi Goth, UC-08, TMC Malir Town, District Malir, Karachi. This project involves comprehensive civil works including excavation, pipe laying, manhole construction, and paving block installation to enhance the sewerage infrastructure and surface finishing in the specified area. Items being procured: - Excavation for pipeline trenches and pits in soft rock with trimming and dressing - Provision of fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings for non-vehicular traffic - Supply and installation of RCC pipes ASTM C-76-62, class II wall 8, sizes 300 mm and 375 mm diameter - Refilling excavated trenches with compaction - Construction of manholes and inspection chambers with B.B walls, cement plastering, and fixing manhole covers with frames and M.S steps - Preparation of sub-base with well-graded gravel compacted to 98-100% density - Hiring pumping sets for water removal from trenches - Manufacturing and supply of RCC ring slabs and manhole covers - Dismantling of cement concrete works - Earth excavation in ash, sand, soft soil or silt - Carriage of materials including stone aggregate, bricks, tiles, timber, and fuel wood - Supply and spreading of well-graded gravel for sub-base - Providing and fixing cement paving blocks of city/quddra/cobble shape with natural and pigmented colours - Providing and fixing precast edge blocks with concrete haunching The technical scope covers all civil works related to sewerage rehabilitation and paving block fixing, including excavation, pipe laying, manhole construction, sub-base preparation, and surface finishing with cement paving blocks. The site is located in Sharafi Goth, UC-08, TMC Malir Town, Karachi. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in the relevant category, NTN and SRB active taxpayer status, submission of bid security of 5% of estimated cost in the form of Pay Order/CDR/Bank Guarantee, and compliance with the Integrity Pact. Bidders must have relevant experience in similar government sector works, possess required machinery and equipment, and qualified technical staff as per bidding documents. Bids must be submitted electronically via the SPPRA EPADS portal by 11 August 2026 at 11:30 AM. The bid opening will be conducted online on the same day at the office of the Chairman Procurement Committee, Engineering Department, KMC, Muslimabad, Karachi. The bid validity period is 90 days. The contract duration is 90 days with a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delay.
