Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of the street lighting system at Abul Hassan Ispahani Road from Super Highway to Maskan Chowrangi in District East, Karachi. Items being procured: - Providing & Laying two core copper conductor PVC insulated and sheeted cable 2.5mm2 (1210 Rft) - Providing & fixing MS tubular poles 6Mtr-(6" dia) X 3Mtrs(5" dia) x 3Mtrs (4" dia) with base plate and stiffeners (33 Nos) - Construction of RCC foundation for poles including excavation, stone soiling, lean concrete, bolts, templates, and rings (46 Nos) - Providing and fixing circuit breakers of various amperages on prepared boards (28 Nos) - Providing & fixing Magnetic Contractor FC80N (14 Nos) - Providing and fixing 10 Amps Photo cells (2000 Nos) - Providing and fixing LED street lights 150 Watt Aluminum die cast IP-66 with SPD and warranty (134 Nos) - Providing ABC connectors suitable for 16mm ABC bundle cable (132 Nos) - Laying ABC bundle cable two core 16mm Aluminum Conductor (3000 Mtr) - Providing and fixing set of Shackle insulator, iron clamp, U-clamp with nuts and bolts (65 Jobs) - Dismantling street light poles 31/40ft with hydraulic crane including loading, unloading and transportation (58 Nos) - Painting street light/high mast poles with two coats of ICI oil paint (58 Nos) - Providing & Fixing Distribution Board 18"x18"x8" with locking arrangement and bus bar (4 Nos) - Dismantling street light fittings 250 watts with hydraulic crane including loading, unloading and transportation (124 Nos) - Providing PVC tape (20 Nos) The technical scope includes supply, installation, and commissioning of electrical cables, poles, circuit breakers, magnetic contractors, photo cells, LED street lights, and associated accessories. The work also covers dismantling of old poles and fittings, painting, and laying of ABC cables with proper safety measures. The site is located in Karachi, and all works must comply with the specifications and instructions of the Engineer Incharge. Eligibility criteria require bidders to have valid PEC registration in C-6, EE-06 or above, NTN certificate, active tax payer status, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid electrical contractor license from the Electrical Inspector Government of Sindh Karachi Region, and a PEC registered engineer on staff. Experience of similar works in the last five years is mandatory with proof of work orders and completion certificates. Financial soundness is demonstrated by a minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost, and the performance security is also 5%.
