Improvement and Rehabilitation of Street Lighting System from Karsaz Flyover to National Stadium Flyover District East Karachi

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of the street lighting system from Karsaz Flyover to National Stadium Flyover in District East, Karachi. This procurement is under the Executive Engineer, CM(E&M) and is a significant project aimed at enhancing the street lighting infrastructure in a busy urban area of Karachi. Items being procured: - Providing & Laying two core copper PVC insulated & PVC sheathed cable 2.5mm2 (200 Rft) - Providing & fixing MS tubular poles 6Mtr with base plate and stiffeners (33 Nos) - Manufacturing and fixing GI double arm canopy type poles (30 Nos) - Providing & fixing circuit breakers 15 to 100 Amps T.P. (28 Nos) - Providing & fixing Magnetic Contractor FC80N (14 Nos) - Providing & fixing 10 Amps Photo cells (6 Nos) - Providing and fixing LED street lights 150 Watt Aluminum die cast IP-66 (200 Nos) - Providing ABC connectors suitable for 16mm ABC bundle cable (260 Nos) - Laying ABC bundle cable two core 16mm Aluminum conductor (4500 Mtr) - Providing and fixing sets of shackle insulator, iron clamp, U-clamp with nuts and bolts (100 Jobs) - Construction of RCC foundation for tubular poles - Dismantling of RCC work of existing New Jersey barrier - Painting of street light/high mast poles with two coats of ICI oil paint - Repairing of existing CC collar - Providing & fixing distribution boards 18"x16"x6" with locking arrangement (5 Nos) - Dismantling of street light fittings 250 watts (181 Nos) - Manufacturing and fixing MS double arm canopy type poles with GI pipe and MS canopy (6 Nos) The technical scope includes the supply, installation, and rehabilitation of street lighting poles, electrical wiring, circuit breakers, photo cells, LED street lights, and associated civil works such as RCC foundations and painting. The work requires hydraulic cranes and manual labor for installation and dismantling. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in C-5, EE-06 or above, NTN certificate, active tax payer status, registration with Sindh Revenue Board, valid Electric Contractors License from Electrical Inspector Government of Sindh Karachi Region, PEC registered engineer on staff, and proven experience of similar works in the last five years with financial soundness demonstrated by bank statements. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost and the performance security is 5% of the estimated cost plus 5% retention from bills. The bid validity period is 90 days. Bids must be submitted online via the EPADS system by 19-08-2026 at 03:00 PM and will be opened the same day at 03:30 PM at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road Gurumandir Karachi.
