Improvement and Rehabilitation of Street Lighting System at Nagan Flyover from Al Habib Restaurant to Al Hajj Akhtar Restaurant including Lower Ramp District Central, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of the street lighting system at Nagan Flyover from Al Habib Restaurant to Al Hajj Akhtar Restaurant including the lower ramp in District Central, Karachi. This project involves the installation and rehabilitation of street lighting infrastructure to enhance safety and visibility in the specified area. Items being procured: - Providing and fixing MS tabular poles of 31ft and 40ft with specified dimensions and coatings - Manufacturing and fixing GI double arm canopy type fittings - Installation of circuit breakers of various amperages on prepared boards - Providing and fixing magnetic contractors FC80N - Installation of 10 Amps photo cells (National Japan) - Providing and fixing LED street lights 150 Watt Aluminum die cast IP-66 with powder coated housing, 150 lm/watt, CRI 70+, 10KV SPD with 3 years replacement warranty - Installation of ABC connectors suitable for 16mm ABC bundle cable - Providing and fixing sets of shackle insulators, iron clamps, U-clamps with nuts, bolts, and washers - Painting of street light/high mast poles up to 31/40 ft with two coats of ICI oil paint - Construction of RCC foundations for tubular poles - Dismantling of RCC work of existing New Jersey barriers and cutting walls - Providing and fixing distribution boards with locking arrangements and bus bars - Dismantling of street light fittings 250 watts including transportation to KMC workshop The technical scope includes supply, installation, and rehabilitation of street lighting poles, fittings, electrical components, and foundations as per specifications and instructions of the Engineer Incharge. The work requires hydraulic cranes, manual labor, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in C-6, EE-06 or above, NTN certificate, active tax payer status, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid electrical contractor license from the Government of Sindh (Karachi Region), proof of PEC registered engineer, relevant experience with similar works in the last five years, and financial soundness with minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. Bids must be submitted online via the EPADS system by 27-08-2026 at 02:00 PM and will be opened on the same day at 02:30 PM at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road Gurumandir Karachi. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost, and the tender cost is Rs. 5,000. Earnest money must be submitted as a pay order in favor of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
