Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Street Lighting System at Lines Area near Rangers Office, Aihtasham Masjid to Telephone Office Nizami Road, District East, Karachi. Items being procured: - Providing & Laying two core copper PVC insulated & PVC sheeted cable 2.5mm2 (1138 P.Rft) - Providing & fixing MS tubular poles 31ft with base plate, holes, stiffeners, window in pole, red oxide and oil paint - Construction of RCC foundation for poles including excavation, stone soiling, lean concrete, bolts, template, rings, and RCC foundation - Manufacturing and fixing GI single arm double arch with GI pipe and MS clamps - Manufacturing and fixing GI double arm canopy type with GI pipe and MS clamps - Providing and fixing circuit breakers 15 to 100 Amps T.P. (XS-100NS) - Providing and fixing magnetic contractor FC80N - Providing and fixing 10 Amps photo cell (National Japan) - Providing and fixing LED street light 150 Watt Aluminum die cast IP-66 with powder coated housing, SPD, and warranty - Dismantling of street light fittings 250 watts with hydraulic crane including loading, unloading, and transportation - Dismantling of street light poles 31/40ft with hydraulic crane including loading, unloading, and transportation - Providing ABC connectors suitable for 16mm ABC bundle cable - Laying ABC bundle cable two core 16mm Aluminum Conductor - Providing and fixing set of shackle insulator, iron clamp (G.I), U-clamp with nuts, bolts, washers - Providing and fixing distribution board 18"x16"x6" with locking arrangement and bus bar - Providing PVC tape The technical scope includes supply, installation, and commissioning of electrical components such as cables, poles, circuit breakers, photo cells, LED street lights, and associated civil works including RCC foundations. The work requires hydraulic cranes and skilled labor for installation and dismantling activities. The site is located in District East, Karachi. Eligibility criteria require valid PEC registration in C-6, EE-06 or above, NTN certificate, active tax payer status, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid Electric Contractors License from Electrical Inspector Government of Sindh (Karachi Region), PEC registered engineer on staff, and proven experience of similar works in the last five years with financial soundness demonstrated by bank statements and turnover. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost and the performance security is 5% of the contract value. The bid validity period is 90 days.
