Improvement and Rehabilitation of Street Lighting System at Sher Shah Suri Road from Nagan Flyover to Board Office, District Central, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of the street lighting system at Sher Shah Suri Road from Nagan Flyover to Board Office, District Central, Karachi. Items being procured: - Providing and laying two core copper conductor PVC insulated and sheathed cable 2.5mm2, 300/500 volts - Fixing MS tubular poles 31ft long with base plates, holes, stiffeners, window making, and painting - Construction of RCC foundations for poles including excavation, stone soiling, lean concrete, and reinforcement - Manufacturing and fixing GI double arm canopy type brackets - Fixing circuit breakers of various amperages on prepared boards - Providing and fixing magnetic contractors FC80N - Providing and fixing 10 Amps photo cells (National Japan) - Providing and fixing LED street lights 150 Watt Aluminum die cast IP-66 with powder coated housing, 150 lm/watt, CRI 70+, 10KV SPD with 3 years replacement warranty - Painting street light/high mast poles with two coats of ICI oil paint - Providing ABC connectors suitable for 16mm ABC bundle cable - Laying ABC bundle cable two core 16mm aluminum conductor - Providing and fixing distribution boards with locking arrangements and bus bars - Fixing components of LED lights at height including surge protection devices and drivers The technical scope includes complete rehabilitation of the street lighting system with new LED lights, electrical wiring, poles, and associated civil works. The site is located in Karachi, Sindh province. Eligibility criteria require bidders to have valid PEC registration in categories C-6 or EE-06 and above, NTN certificate, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid electrical contractor license from the Government of Sindh (Karachi region), proof of PEC registered engineer, relevant experience of similar works in the last five years with evidence of work orders and completion certificates, and financial soundness with minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost, and the performance security is 10% of the total cost (5% bid security plus 5% from bills). The tender cost is Rs. 5,000.
