Improvement and Rehabilitation of Street Lights at 5-B Bus Stop Road, Baldia District Keamari, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of street lights at 5-B Bus Stop Road, Baldia District Keamari, Karachi. This tender is part of the financial year 2026-27 annual procurement plan and aims to enhance the street lighting infrastructure in the specified area to improve safety and visibility. Items being procured: - Providing and laying two core copper conductor PVC insulated and sheathed cable 2.5mm2 (1100 Rft) - Fixing MS tubular poles 31ft long with base plates and holes, including painting and rust prevention (42 Nos) - Construction of RCC foundations for poles including excavation, stone soiling, lean concrete, and reinforcement (42 Nos) - Manufacturing and fixing GI single arm double arch and GI double arm canopy type poles (27 and 15 Nos respectively) - Providing and fixing 400 watts flood lights with all internal wiring and installation at heights up to 40ft (8 Nos) - Installation of circuit breakers of various amperages on prepared boards (3 Nos) - Providing and fixing magnetic contractors and photo cells (3 and 3 Nos respectively) - Additional non-schedule items including ABC connectors, ABC bundle cables, shackle insulators, LED street lights 150 watts, dismantling of old poles and fittings, and distribution boards. The technical scope includes supply, installation, and commissioning of electrical street lighting systems with all associated civil works such as pole foundations and painting. The site is located at 5-B Bus Stop Road, Baldia District Keamari, Karachi. Eligibility criteria require bidders to have valid PEC registration in categories C-6 or EE-06 and above, NTN and active tax payer status, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid electrical contractor license from the Government of Sindh (Karachi region), and proof of PEC registered engineer on staff. Experience of similar works in the last five years is mandatory, with at least one work equivalent to 80% of the estimated cost or two works equivalent to 50%. Financial soundness must be demonstrated with a minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost, and the performance security is 5% of the estimated cost plus 5% retention from bills. The tender cost is Rs. 5,000. Bids must be submitted online via the EPADS system of SPPRA Sindh by 21-08-2026 at 2:00 PM. Bid opening will be held the same day at 2:30 PM at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road Gurumandir Karachi.
