Installation of LED Street Lights at Aisha Manzil Flyover District Central Karachi

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Installation of LED Street Lights at Aisha Manzil Flyover, District Central, Karachi. This procurement is part of the ongoing efforts to improve street lighting infrastructure in the city to enhance safety and visibility for commuters and pedestrians. Items being procured: - Providing & laying two core copper conductor PVC insulated PVC sheathed cable 2.5mm2 - Providing & fixing MS tubular poles 6 meters with base plate and stiffeners - Manufacturing and fixing GI single arm double arch as per site requirements - Providing & fixing circuit breakers of various amperages on prepared boards - Providing & fixing magnetic contractor FC80N - Providing & fixing 10 Amps photo cells (National Japan) - Providing and fixing LED street lights 150 Watt Aluminum die cast IP-66 with powder coated housing - Providing ABC connectors suitable for 16mm ABC bundle cable - Laying ABC bundle cable two core 16mm aluminum conductor - Providing and fixing sets of shackle insulator, iron clamp, U-clamp with nuts and bolts - Painting street light/high mast poles with two coats of ICI oil paint - Dismantling of existing street light fittings 250 watts - Providing & fixing distribution boards with locking arrangement and bus bars - Construction of RCC foundation for tubular poles - Dismantling of RCC work of existing New Jersey barrier and cutting wall as per specifications The technical scope includes supply, installation, and commissioning of LED street lighting systems with all associated civil and electrical works. The poles will be fixed on precast foundations with hydraulic crane assistance. The LED lights must have a minimum efficacy of 150 lm/watt, IP66 rating, and a CRI of 70 or more, with a 3-year replacement warranty on SPD. Eligibility criteria require valid PEC registration in C-6, EE-06 or above, NTN certificate, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid electrical contractor license from the Government of Sindh (Karachi Region), and proof of PEC registered engineer in the firm. Bidders must have executed similar works in the last five years with at least one work equivalent to 80% of the estimated cost or two works equivalent to 50%. Financial soundness must be demonstrated with a minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. Bids must be submitted online via the EPADS system by 27-08-2026 at 2:00 PM. The bid opening will be held on the same day at 2:30 PM at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road, Gurumandir, Karachi. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost, and the tender cost is Rs. 5,000.
