Installation of LED Street Lights at Sohrab Goth Flyover, District Central, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Installation of LED Street Lights at Sohrab Goth Flyover, District Central, Karachi. This procurement is part of the ongoing efforts to improve and rehabilitate the street lighting system in the area, ensuring enhanced safety and energy efficiency. Items being procured: - Providing & Laying PVC insulated & PVC sheeted two core copper conductor cables 2.5mm2 - Installation of Circuit breakers of various amperages (15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75 & 100 Amps) - Fixing Magnetic Contractor FC80N - Installation of 10 Amps Photo cells (National Japan) - Providing and fixing LED street lights 150 Watt Aluminum die cast IP-66 with powder coated housing, minimum 150 lm/watt, CRI 70+, 10KV SPD with 3 years replacement warranty - Installation of ABC connectors suitable for 6/16mm ABC bundle cable - Laying ABC bundle cable four core 16mm Aluminum Conductor - Fixing set of Shackle insulator, iron clamp (G.I), U-clamp with nuts, bolts and washers - Providing & Fixing Distribution Board 18"x16"x6" with locking arrangement and bus bar - Painting street light/high mast poles up to 31/40 ft with two coats of ICI oil paint - Dismantling of existing 150 watt street light fittings including loading, unloading and transportation to KMC workshop The technical scope includes supply, installation, and commissioning of LED street lighting with all associated electrical works at the Sohrab Goth Flyover. The work requires skilled labor, use of hydraulic cranes, and adherence to safety standards to ensure minimal disruption to traffic and public safety. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in C-6, EE-06 or above, NTN certificate, Sindh Revenue Board registration, valid Electric Contractors License from Electrical Inspector Sindh (Karachi Region), proof of PEC registered engineer, and relevant experience with similar works executed in the last five years. Financial soundness is also required with a minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. Bids must be submitted online via the EPADS system by 27-08-2026 at 2:00 PM. The bid opening will be held on the same day at 2:30 PM at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road, Gurumandir, Karachi.
