Tender Description
Pakistan Tobacco Board invites sealed bids from registered firms for the installation of a solar tube well and solarization of offices and laboratories at the Tobacco Research Station in Mardan. This procurement is specifically managed by the Director (R&D) of the Pakistan Tobacco Board, located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The technical scope includes the installation of a solar-powered tube well system and the solarization of existing office and laboratory facilities. This involves supply and installation of solar panels, electrical wiring, and related equipment to ensure sustainable energy use at the research station. The project demands firms with relevant experience in solar power systems and civil works related to tube well installations.
Eligible bidders should be registered with the FBR and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Firms must have valid PEC registration in relevant categories for electrical and civil works. Experience in similar solar energy projects and installation of tube wells will be advantageous. Bidders must prepare their Technical and Financial Bids carefully, adhering to the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure as per PPRA Rules 2004.
Bidding documents can be obtained from the office of the Director (R&D) or downloaded from the PPRA and Pakistan Tobacco Board websites. The submission deadline is strictly by 14th June 2024 at 23:59:59. Bids must be submitted through the Electronic Procurement and Disposal System (EPADS). The opening of bids will occur on the same day in the presence of bidders who choose to attend.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) or CDR is prepared exactly as per the tender requirements and included in the Technical Bid envelope.
