Tender Description
The NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi invites bids for the Internal Painting Work at Rooms & Corridor Ground, First & Second Floor of MBQ-I Boys Hostel at its Main Campus. This procurement is managed by the Procurement Cell of NEDUET in Karachi, Sindh. The works involve comprehensive internal painting including surface preparation and application of quality paint materials to ensure durability and aesthetic finish in the specified areas of the boys hostel.
Items being procured:
- Internal painting work at rooms and corridors on Ground Floor
- Internal painting work at rooms and corridors on First Floor
- Internal painting work at rooms and corridors on Second Floor
The technical scope includes all necessary surface preparation, application of primer and finishing coats as per specifications, with strict adherence to quality and quantity control ethics. The site is located at the main campus of NED University in Karachi.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-6 or above with specialized code CE-10. Firms should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and an average annual turnover of not less than Rs 10 million over the last three years as per FBR online returns. Registration with Sindh Revenue Board and active tax status is mandatory. An affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper declaring no blacklisting or litigation history is required.
Bids must be submitted exclusively through the EPADS e-procurement portal. Manual bids will not be accepted. However, original bid security and related documents must be delivered physically to the office of Deputy Director Procurement, Procurement Cell, NEDUET Karachi before the submission deadline. The bid security amount is fixed at Rs 0.200 million in the form of Deposit at Call, Pay Order, Demand Draft, or Bank Guarantee from a scheduled bank in favor of Director Finance, NEDUET.
The contract is a fixed price contract with a completion period of two months and a maintenance period of six months. The performance security will be 5% of the contract price. Bidders are advised to visit the site before submission and ensure all bidding documents are complete and signed.
The submission deadline and bid opening date will be as notified in the Invitation to Bids on the EPADS portal. Bidders should ensure their bids are reflected in the bid opening list on EPADS to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders: Carefully review the bidding documents and ensure all required documents including bid security, PEC registration, tax certificates, and affidavits are attached and valid. Early submission through EPADS is recommended to avoid last-minute technical issues.
