Tender Description
The General Headquarters Signals Directorate Rawalpindi is procuring IT infrastructure development services focused on Optical Fiber Cables (OFC) and Underground Copper (UG) Cables across various areas of Pakistan for the financial year 2026/27. This tender involves laying, digging, repair, and maintenance of existing OFC and UG networks. The scope covers extensive fieldwork including installation and upkeep of critical communication infrastructure to ensure robust connectivity.
Firms interested must be registered with Pakistan's tax authorities, holding active Income Tax and GST status. Additionally, bidders should be security cleared and registered with reputable government departments such as MoD, MoDP, and MoITT. The tender requires submission of a sealed bid including a technical proposal and a financial bid, with a non-refundable bank draft of Rs 10,000 as earnest money (CDR equivalent) payable to the General Headquarters Signals Directorate.
Bidding documents can be obtained from the General Headquarters Signals Battalion (Quarter Master Branch) on Adiyala Road Rawalpindi during working days. The deadline for submission is 14 July 2026 at 1000 hours, with technical proposals opening at 1030 hours the same day. Financial bids will be opened after technical evaluation in the presence of bidders' representatives.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical documentation and samples are meticulously prepared and sealed as per instructions. Early collection of bidding documents and thorough compliance with security clearance requirements will enhance chances of success. This tender represents a significant opportunity for firms specializing in IT infrastructure and telecom services within the defense sector.
