Tender Description
This tender is issued by the Town Municipal Corporation Ibrahim Hyderi District Malir, Karachi for the procurement of works involving the laying of a water supply line from Masjid Khizra to Makki Masjid, Bakhtawar Goth, UC-09 Chashma, TMC Ibrahim Hyderi. The project is located in Karachi, Sindh and falls under the financial year 2026-2027.
Items being procured:
- Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in all kinds of soils including trimming and dressing sides, levelling beds of trenches, cutting joint holes, and disposal of surplus earth within one chain
- Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in soft rock by hammering and chiselling
- Providing, laying, and fixing high density polyethylene (HDPE) PE pipes (8" Dia, 200mm) conforming to ISO 4427/DIN8074/8075 B.S 3580 & PSI 3051
- Refilling excavated material in trenches in 6" thick layers with watering and ramming to full compaction
- Providing and fitting PE fittings including elbow 90 degree, elbow 45 degree, cross tee, and butt fusion
- Constructing small wheel valve chamber with walls of 9" thick brickwork in cement mortar, cement plastered inside, and supplying & fixing CI light weight manhole cover with frame and locking arrangement
- Providing and fixing MS tail piece on AC pipe fabricated with 1/4" thick MS plate
- Supply and installation of CI sluice valve heavy pattern (8" Dia)
- Supply of single acting air valve over PVC & PE pipe of required diameter including MS fabricated parts and painting
The technical scope includes excavation in various soil types, installation of HDPE pipes and fittings, construction of valve chambers, and installation of sluice and air valves. The work requires adherence to specifications and standards as per the Public Health Engineering schedule and involves site work in urban Karachi.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration with relevant category, NTN certificate, Sindh Revenue Board registration, minimum 5 years relevant experience, turnover of 2 to 4 million PKR over the last 3 years, valid professional tax certificate, electrical license for similar region, affidavit of no litigation or blacklisting, and documentary proof of machinery and equipment ownership.
The bid security is 5% earnest money valid for 90 days, with a security deposit of 10% of the bid amount. The deadline for submission is 06-08-2026 at 2:00 PM, with bid opening at 2:30 PM on the same day at the office of the Superintending Engineer TMC Ibrahim Hyderi, District Malir, Karachi. Completion time is 90 days from the written order to commence work.
