Tender Description
The Town Municipal Corporation Ibrahim Hyderi, District Malir, Karachi, is procuring works for the laying of a water supply line from Social Security Hospital Road to Hospital Chowrangi Water Supply Scheme Muzafarabad, UC-05 Muzafarabad. This procurement is part of the Annual Procurement Plan for the Financial Year 2026-2027 under non-ADP funding and follows the SPPRA rules 15b & 16.
Items being procured:
- Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in all kinds of soils including trimming and dressing sides, levelling beds, cutting joint holes, and disposal of surplus earth (7648 Cft)
- Providing fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings for non-vehicular traffic with lift up to 5 ft and lead up to one chain
- Providing, laying, and fixing HDPE pipes (4" Dia, 600 Rft) including fittings, jointing, and testing
- Refilling excavated material in trenches in 6" thick layers with watering and ramming (6883.2 Cft)
- Providing and fitting PE fittings: Elbow 90 Degree 4" (3 Nos), Elbow 45 Degree 4" (2 Nos), Cross Tee 110 (2 Nos), Butt Fusion 4" Dia (15 Nos)
- Constructing small wheel valve chamber 18"x18"x18" with 9" thick walls, cement plastered inside, including CI light weight manhole cover with frame and locking (2 Nos)
- Providing and fixing MS Tail Piece on AC pipe fabricated with 1/4" thick MS plate (4 Nos)
- CI Sluice valve heavy pattern 4" Dia (2 Nos)
- Repairing leakages in water supply pipelines (2 Nos)
- Road cross bore (50 Rft)
- Accessories for water supply line connection: Connection Clip 4" Dia (2 Nos), CI Bend 4" Dia (2 Nos), Nipple 4" Dia (2 Nos), Nut Bolts (2 Sets), Packing Sheet (2 Sets), Valve Fitting Charges (2 Each)
The technical scope includes excavation, pipe laying, fittings installation, valve chamber construction, and repair works at the specified locations in Muzafarabad, Karachi. The materials conform to ISO and British Standards for HDPE pipes and fittings. The site is along the main National Highway Road near Benazir.
Eligibility criteria require valid PEC registration in the relevant category, Sindh Revenue Board registration, NTN certificate, at least 5 years of relevant experience, turnover between 2 to 4 million PKR over the last 3 years, valid professional tax certificate, electrical license where applicable, and affidavits confirming no litigation or blacklisting. Documentary proof of machinery ownership and satisfactory completion certificates for similar works are also mandatory.
