Tender Description
The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) invites bids for the Loading and Carriage/Transportation of Rock Salt Contract for Makrach Mine No. 58 at PMDC Salt Mines, Makrach. This procurement is for non-consultancy services under a National Single Stage-One Envelope procedure using Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique. The contract involves loading and transportation of good quality rock salt, explicitly excluding boulders, lumpy size rock salt, and mixing of fines locally called 'soor'. The services are required for a period of 365 days with specific delivery locations including Makrach Bhelowal Depot, Makrach Weighbridge, and M/s. LCI Khewra (Direct).
Items being procured:
- Loading and transportation of 6000 metric tons of rock salt from Makrach Mine No. 58 to Makrach Bhelowal Depot including loading and unloading (Distance: 16 KM)
- Loading and transportation of 100 metric tons of rock salt from Makrach Mine No. 58 to Makrach Weighbridge including loading and unloading (Distance: 6 KM)
- Loading and transportation of 6000 metric tons of rock salt from Makrach Mine No. 58 to M/s. LCI Khewra (Direct) including loading and unloading (Distance: 36 KM)
The scope includes ensuring the quality of rock salt as per prescribed standards and timely delivery as per schedule. Bidders must be registered on EPADS v2.0 and submit bids electronically through the portal. Bid security of PKR 100,000 is required in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call at Deposit, or Demand Draft. The contract performance guarantee is 5% of the contract price. Eligibility criteria include valid CNIC/NICOP, FBR registration, Punjab PRA registration, experience certificates, and financial soundness proof.
The deadline for bid submission is Friday, September 4, 2026, at 03:00 PM, with bid opening at 03:30 PM on the same day via EPADS v2.0. Manual submissions are not accepted. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents and ensure compliance with all requirements.
