Tender Description
The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) based in Islamabad Capital Territory is procuring non-consultancy services for the loading and transportation of rock salt from Makrach Mine No. 51 at PMDC Salt Mines, Makrach. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and follows the Public Procurement Rules, 2004, using the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique under a single stage-one envelope procedure.
Items being procured:
- Loading and transportation of 6000 metric tons of good quality rock salt (boulders/lumpy size, no mixing of fines locally called 'soor') from Makrach Mine No. 51 to Makrach Bhelowal Depot including loading and unloading (distance: 16 KM)
- Loading and transportation of 3000 metric tons of good quality rock salt (boulders/lumpy size, no mixing of fines) from Makrach Mine No. 51 to Makrach Weighbridge including loading and unloading (distance: 6 KM)
- Loading and transportation of 6000 metric tons of good quality rock salt from Makrach Mine No. 51 to M/s. LCI Khewra (Direct) including loading and unloading (distance: 36 KM)
The scope includes the loading and carriage of rock salt ensuring no mixing of fines, with quantities subject to dispatch requirements and quality standards. The contract duration is one year, with estimated quantities not exceeding the specified amounts. The services require efficient handling and transportation over specified distances with proper loading and unloading at designated locations.
Eligible bidders must be registered on EPADS v2.0 and comply with all legal, financial, and technical requirements including valid FBR registration and relevant experience.
