Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) is procuring 1000 units of L.T Current Transformers 200/5 AMP for delivery at MEPCO Regional Stores in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and D.G Khan. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to enhance the electrical infrastructure by supplying transformers that conform to DDS-80:2007 specifications (amended to date).
The technical scope includes supply of brand new current transformers with all taxes, duties, and 0.5% inspection charges included in the price but excluding GST. Delivery is scheduled in two phases: 50% within 60 days and the remaining 50% within 90 days or earlier. Inspection will be conducted at the supplier's premises by the Chief Engineer (M.I) Lahore or authorized representatives along with MEPCO officials. The supplier must provide all reasonable facilities for inspection including travel and lodging expenses.
Eligible bidders must comply with PEC registration, be on the active tax payer list of FBR, and have a satisfactory supply record with MEPCO or other DISCOs. Blacklisted firms or those with unsatisfactory past performance will be disqualified. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by June 30, 2026, 11:15 AM, with a bid validity of 120 days. A bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call Deposit, or Bank Guarantee is mandatory. Performance security of 5% of contract value is required upon award.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and submit the original bid security physically at MEPCO Complex, Wapda Colony, Khanewal Road, Multan before the deadline. Late or incomplete submissions will be rejected. Strict adherence to specifications and delivery timelines is essential to avoid penalties and ensure contract compliance.
