Tender Description
The Printing & Stationery Department, Karachi, Government of Sindh is procuring maintenance and repair services for the building structure of the Sindh Government Press located at Gate No. 04, Governor House Compound, Abdullah Haroon Road, Karachi. This tender covers comprehensive civil, water supply, sanitary, and electrical works to restore and maintain the press building. The scope includes dismantling and reconstruction of masonry, plastering, painting, installation of iron grills, laying of tiles and paving blocks, water supply fittings, sanitary fixtures, and electrical wiring and fittings.
The technical scope involves removal of existing plaster, cement concrete flooring, electrical installations, and conduits for air conditioning systems. It also includes provision of drainage connections, fire extinguishing drainage lines, and installation of electrical components such as circuit breakers, fans, switches, and wiring conduits. The works are to be executed in Karachi with adherence to approved specifications and standards.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the appropriate category (minimum C5 with civil engineering work code), possess valid FBR and SRB registrations, and demonstrate financial capacity with a turnover of at least PKR 50 million over the last three years. Experience of similar works with satisfactory completion certificates is mandatory. Bidders must submit earnest money in the form of a 2% bid security and comply with all bidding document requirements.
