Karachi Port Trust (KPT) invites bids for the major overhauling of propulsion engine make Cummins 6 BT installed onboard GRP-VII. This procurement is managed by the Mechanical & Electrical Engineer-II Department located at KPT Head Office, Eduljee Dinshaw Road, Karachi. Items being procured: - Major overhauling of propulsion engine make Cummins 6 BT onboard GRP-VII The scope involves comprehensive overhaul of the propulsion engine ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. Bidders must have relevant experience in engine overhauling and maintenance in the marine or port sector. Eligibility criteria include possession of experience in the relevant field, valid PEC registration if applicable, and FBR/ATL registration. A bid security in the form of a Pay Order amounting to Rs. 68,000/- in favor of the Chief Account Officer, KPT, must be submitted in original at the time of bid opening. A scanned copy of the bid security or pay order must be uploaded with the bid documents through the E-PADS system. Bidding documents can be downloaded from the E-PADS System Version 2.0 at https://epads.gov.pk. The bidding process follows the Single Stage One Envelope Procedure as per Clause 36(a) of PPRA Rules 2004. Bids must be submitted electronically through the E-PADS system by 23-09-2026 at 1100 hours. Bid opening will take place on the same day at 1130 hours in Room No. 32 of CM&EE-II Department at KPT Head Office. KPT reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers at any time and annul the process as per PPRA Rules 2004.
