Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan invites bids for the Major Renovation Work of the New Premises of NBP Mastung Branch (0031) located in the Gawadar Region. This procurement is managed by the National Bank of Pakistan, Head Office Karachi, specifically under the Engineering Wing South, LCMG Division. The scope of work includes comprehensive civil, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, and furniture works to upgrade the branch premises to modern standards. The civil works cover dismantling, reinforced cement concrete, brick masonry, plastering, flooring with porcelain tiles, glass doors, and termite proofing. Plumbing works include installation of sanitary fixtures, water supply systems, soil and waste drainage, and external sewer and manholes. Electrical works encompass wiring, switchboards, lighting fixtures, and earthing systems. Air conditioning works involve supply and installation of inverter type split AC units with all accessories. Furniture works include supply and installation of branch manager tables, credenzas, chairs, sofas, filing cabinets, and fireproof safes. The tender requires bidders to be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in category C-6 or above with specialization codes CE-10 & EE-04, and to have active status on FBR Active Taxpayer List and Provincial Revenue Board. Bidders must submit their bids through the e-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) portal by 11:00 am on June 18, 2026. The original bid security of Rs. 340,000/- in the form of Pay Order or Bankers Cheque must be submitted to the National Bank of Pakistan before the bid closing time. The bids will be opened publicly at 11:30 am on the same day at the Office of the SVP/Wing Head, Engineering Wing South, 3rd Floor, National Bank of Pakistan, Head Office Building, I.I Chundrigarh Road, Karachi. Bidders are advised to carefully review the detailed technical specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities provided in the bidding documents. Earnest Money in the form of bid security is mandatory. The contract period is 150 days from the commencement date. The tender follows the Single Stage Single Envelope procedure under PPRA Rule 36(a). One practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of the original bid security instrument to avoid disqualification, as the e-bid submission alone is not sufficient. Bidders should also prepare a comprehensive technical proposal including site organization, method statement, mobilization and construction schedules, and equipment details to demonstrate capability and compliance. This tender represents a significant opportunity for contractors with relevant PEC registration and experience in major renovation works to participate in a prestigious project funded by the National Bank of Pakistan during the financial year 2025. The project location in Mastung, Balochistan, requires bidders to consider logistical and site conditions in their planning and pricing. The detailed scope and specifications cover all aspects of civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and furniture works, ensuring a turnkey renovation solution for the bank branch.
