Tender Description

The Medical Teaching Institution Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar is procuring medical devices, orthopaedic implants, medicines, and pharmaceutical supplies for the fiscal year 2026-27 under a selection and rate contracting framework. This procurement is conducted through the EPADS electronic system, ensuring transparency and compliance with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Act 2012 and KPPRA Rules 2014. The scope includes supply of medical devices registered with the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), medicines manufactured or imported by authorized entities, and related pharmaceutical products. Bidders must be registered manufacturers, importers, or authorized distributors under DRAP regulations and comply with the Drug Act 1976 and DRAP Act 2012. The contract price will remain fixed and valid until 30th June 2027, with a possible extension for an additional year as per KPPRA rules. Bidders are required to submit their bids electronically via EPADS by 8th June 2026 at 10:30 AM. The submission must include a mandatory earnest money deposit of PKR 200,000 in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) in favor of the Hospital Director MTI-KTH, along with a non-refundable tender fee of PKR 2,000. Both original CDR and tender fee deposit slips must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Hospital Director's office before the bid submission deadline. The bidding process follows a single stage-two envelopes procedure, requiring separate technical and financial bids. Samples of medical devices must be submitted by 12th June 2026 at 4:00 PM, failing which the bid will be considered non-responsive. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 22nd May 2026 at 11:30 AM in the Administration Block conference room. Bidders should ensure all bid documents are clear, signed, numbered, and stamped. A table of contents with proper page numbering is mandatory. Prices must be quoted in words and figures, with offered prices not exceeding the trade price. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully prepare the technical bid with all required documentation and samples to avoid disqualification. Timely submission of original CDR and tender fee slips is critical to avoid rejection. This tender offers a significant opportunity for suppliers registered with DRAP to engage with a leading medical institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
