Tender Description
The Federal Medical College (FMC) Islamabad is procuring advanced medical and laboratory equipment for the financial year 2025-26. This procurement is specifically for Islamabad and involves high-tech items such as a 3D Anatomy Dissection Table with 4K resolution, multi-point touch screen, and advanced software modules for anatomy learning and virtual dissection. The equipment includes hardware components like Intel Core i7/i9 or AMD Ryzen processors, large RAM and storage capacities, dedicated NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, and licensed Windows 11 Pro operating systems. The scope covers interactive anatomical platforms, virtual cadaver systems, histological slide modules, and cytology exploration tools designed to enhance medical education and research.
Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR and ATL, possess relevant PEC categories if applicable, and demonstrate experience with similar equipment or work completed in the last five years supported by satisfactory reports. Technical staff qualifications include biomedical engineers, diploma engineers, and medical doctors with verified payroll and pay slips. Bidders must submit earnest money in the form of CDR or pay order amounting to 2% of the bid value and provide a performance guarantee of 5% of the total price with 100% delivery assurance.
The tender follows a single stage - two envelopes procedure with separate technical and financial proposals. The technical proposals will be evaluated first, and only technically compliant bids will have their financial proposals opened. The bid validity period extends until 31-12-2026. All bids must be submitted by hand to the tender box at the Federal Medical College, Hanna Road, Sector G-8/4, Islamabad before the deadline. The department emphasizes strict compliance with submission requirements, including complete documentation, signed compliance sheets, and clear brand and origin details.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all technical and financial documents are clearly labeled and submitted in separate envelopes as per instructions. Avoid any overwriting or manual typing errors, as these can lead to rejection. Also, ensure the earnest money is submitted in the correct form to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a significant opportunity for suppliers specializing in cutting-edge medical educational equipment to partner with a prestigious federal institution in Islamabad.
