Tender Description
The Office of the Medical Superintendent Women & Children (Cat-C) Hospital City Karak is procuring essential medical supplies and services for the fiscal year 2026-27. This procurement includes medicines, disposables, medical devices for Sehat Card patients, laboratory investigations, and oxygen refilling services. The tender is specifically for suppliers and service providers who can meet the hospital's requirements in Karak city, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The technical scope covers supply of medicines and surgical disposable medical devices, laboratory testing services, and oxygen refilling. The vendor for medicines must hold a valid Drug Sale License or Wholesale License issued by the District Drug Inspector. The laboratory unit must be registered with the Health Care Commission KPK and staffed with qualified technologists or technicians. The vendor must also maintain a medical store or laboratory unit within 100 meters of the hospital premises, operating 24/7 until June 30, 2027. Supplied drugs should be of good quality with warranty certificates as per the Drugs Act 1976, acceptable to hospital consultants and administration.
Eligibility criteria require firms to be registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments, be on the Active Tax Payer List with valid certificates, and registered with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa revenue authority for oxygen refilling services. Bidders must submit earnest money in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) in original to the hospital office before the closing time. Blacklisted or suspended firms by the Health Department KPK will be disqualified. The approved rates will remain valid until June 30, 2027, under KP Public Procurement Rules 2014.
The tender submission deadline is **10th July 2026 at 12:00 PM** through the E-PADS electronic bidding system only; manual bids will not be accepted. Bidders must upload scanned copies of all required documents on E-PADS and submit the original CDR to the hospital office. The technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their medical store or laboratory unit is fully compliant with the location and operational hours requirements, as this is critical for eligibility. Also, timely submission of the original CDR to the hospital office before the deadline is essential to avoid disqualification.
