Tender Description
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) Karachi is procuring a comprehensive upgrade service for its Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 environment to the latest Subscription Edition (SE). This project involves an in-place upgrade preserving all existing server roles, mailbox databases, mail flow configurations, certificates, connectors, and Database Availability Group (DAG) settings without requiring mailbox migration or coexistence.
The technical scope includes a detailed assessment and readiness validation covering Exchange services health, database integrity, DAG replication, mail flow, certificates, connectors, backup verification, Windows Server and .NET compatibility, Active Directory health, and schema readiness. The upgrade execution phase involves domain preparation, maintenance window notification, service suspension, upgrade installation, monitoring, and post-upgrade validation including mail flow, Outlook connectivity, and transport rules. Final optimization and documentation with security updates and service reconfiguration are also part of the scope.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and possess valid NTN/STN. Experience in Microsoft Exchange Server upgrades and related IT services is essential. The tender requires submission of technical and financial bids with earnest money and CDR as per PSO guidelines. The submission deadline is 8th June 2026, and all correspondence will be conducted via email as nominated by the bidder.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure thorough documentation of the current Exchange environment and backup verification before commencing the upgrade. This will facilitate smooth execution and minimize downtime during the maintenance window. Bidders should also prepare for a three-month support period post-deployment to resolve any issues, as stipulated by PSO.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for IT service providers specializing in Microsoft Exchange Server environments to engage with a leading national energy company under clear terms and conditions with a focus on quality and compliance.
