Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites bids for minor renovation and refurbishment works at its Corporate Office and Branch in Lahore. This procurement is specifically for the financial year 2025-26 and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS). The scope includes internal and external painting works, enamel painting on steel and wooden structures, and related civil works. The contractor is responsible for protecting existing carpets, wood, tiles, electrical and networking items, furniture, fittings, and fixtures during the execution of the paint jobs. Proper cleaning of the site after completion is mandatory as per the Engineer Incharge's satisfaction.
The technical scope requires bidders to have valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in financial category C-6 or above with specialization codes CE-10 and EE-04. Bidders must be active on the FBR Active Taxpayer List and Provincial Revenue Board. Experience criteria include completion of at least three similar projects for banks, financial institutions, or multinational companies costing not less than Rs. 1.0 million in the last three years. An affidavit confirming the bidder is not blacklisted or debarred due to corrupt or fraudulent practices is also required.
The bidding process follows the Single Stage One Envelope procedure under Public Procurement Rules 2004. Earnest Money in the form of a Bid Security of Rs. 60,000 must accompany the bid, with the original submitted to NBP before the closing time. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS by 11:00 AM on June 9, 2026. The bid opening will be held the same day at 11:30 AM at the NBP Regional Headquarters Building, 26-Mclagon Road, Lahore.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all required documents, including PEC registration, FBR status, experience certificates, and bid security instruments, are complete and properly uploaded on EPADS well before the deadline. Early submission is advised to avoid last-minute technical issues. Also, carefully review the technical specifications and bill of quantities to prepare a competitive and compliant bid. The contract duration is 60 days from commencement, and performance security of 5% of the contract price will be required upon award.
This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified contractors in Lahore and Punjab to engage with a prestigious national financial institution. Bidders should prepare thoroughly to meet all eligibility and technical requirements and submit their bids timely through the official electronic portal.
