Tender Description
The **State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan** is inviting bids for the monthly contract covering the operation, maintenance, and servicing of two lifts installed at the State Life Building in Gujranwala. This contract is specifically for the upkeep and smooth functioning of these lifts, ensuring safety and reliability for building occupants.
The technical scope includes deploying qualified staff such as a lift technician and lift operator with 1-2 years of relevant experience. The contractor must provide all necessary tools, cleaning brushes, instruments, and equipment for fault diagnosis and maintenance. The scope also covers cleaning, greasing, oiling, and inspection of mechanical and electrical components, along with maintaining detailed monthly checklists and registers for each lift. The contractor is responsible for prompt response to any malfunction and must ensure continuous attendance of approved staff during working hours.
Eligibility criteria require NTN/GST certificates from FBR, PRA registration, EOBI and PESSI registration, and an undertaking on stamp paper confirming the firm is not blacklisted by any government or private organization. Experience of at least 5 years in similar work is mandatory. Financial soundness and past contract performance will be evaluated as part of the technical bid.
Bidders should note the earnest money requirement of Rs. 40,000 in the form of a bank draft or payee cheque. The contract duration is one year with payments made monthly. The submission deadline is **7 days from the date of issuance of the letter of award**, with bids evaluated under a single stage two envelope system.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documentation, including technical and financial credentials, is complete and clearly presented to avoid disqualification. Also, visiting the site beforehand to understand the lift systems and maintenance challenges can provide a competitive edge in preparing a realistic and compliant bid.
