Tender Description
The Procurement Department of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi, is inviting bids for the supply of an Online Examination System Server specifically for the Examination Department of JSMU. This procurement is aimed at enhancing the university's examination infrastructure with a state-of-the-art server system located in Karachi, Sindh.
The technical scope includes a 2U rack mount enterprise-class server chassis supporting up to 16 hot-plug 2.5" SFF SAS/SATA drives with optimized airflow design. The server must be equipped with the latest generation enterprise-class processors featuring 24 cores and 48 threads, dual-socket configuration, 128GB DDR5 ECC Registered DIMM memory, enterprise hardware RAID controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/6/10, and multiple network ports including dual-port 25GbE SFP28 network adapter. The package includes redundant hot-plug power supplies, tool-less rack rails, and a comprehensive 5-year hardware warranty with next business day onsite support. Brands like HP, Dell, or equivalent well-reputed international brands are acceptable.
Eligible bidders must have completed at least three contracts of similar nature with a minimum value of PKR 8 million in the last three years. They must be registered with FBR, hold valid NTN and GST certificates, and be active taxpayers. The bidder should be a Tier-1 or Tier-2 partner of the proposed brand with at least 10 years of experience and local presence in Karachi for timely support. Submission of earnest money in the form of a Pay Order, Bank Guarantee, or Call Deposit amounting to PKR 300,000 is mandatory. The bid validity period is 90 days.
Bids must be submitted online through the EPADS portal by the specified deadline. The submission address for clarifications is the Procurement Officer at the 6th Floor New Building, JSMU, Rafiqui H.J. Shaheed Road, Karachi. The deadline for bid submission is the last day of May 2026. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial proposals, ensuring all required documents and authorizations are included.
