Tender Description
This tender invites bids for operation and maintenance services of two hydropower complexes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: the 81MW Malakand-III and the 18MW Pehur Hydropower Complex. Issued by Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) in Peshawar, it focuses on ensuring efficient and reliable power generation through expert O&M services.
The scope covers technical operation and upkeep of the hydropower plants located in Malakand and Swabi districts. These sites require specialized knowledge of hydroelectric systems, including turbine maintenance, electrical systems, and water flow management. The engineering challenges include maintaining optimal performance under varying water levels and ensuring minimal downtime to support regional power needs.
Bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) licenses in categories O-B or above for Malakand-III and O-I or above for Pehur. Registration with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is mandatory. Firms should be compliant with FBR's Active Taxpayer List (ATL) for the fiscal year 2025-26 to qualify.
Submission deadline is on the 10th of February 2026, with bid opening shortly after. Bids must be submitted via the E-PAK Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) and sealed hard copies delivered to PEDO House, Sector 38/B-2, Phase-V, Hayatabad, Peshawar. Technical bids will be opened in the presence of bidders' representatives.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid security is prepared as per the 2% bid cost requirement and valid for 28 days beyond bid validity. Also, attend the pre-bid meeting on January 27, 2026, at PEDO House to clarify any technical or procedural queries.
