Tender Description
The Quaid-i-Azam Mazar Management Board (QMMB) Karachi invites sealed bids for the procurement of civil works specifically for painting the boundary wall of Bagh-e-Quaid-i-Azam. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and will be executed in Karachi, Sindh. The scope of work includes removing old white/colour wash, distemper, plastic emulsion paint and weather resistant paint from plastered and un-plastered surfaces; surface preparation with alkali resisting primer; applying two coats of weather resistant paint on exterior walls; burning off old paint or chemical removal where burning is not allowed; first coat of red oxide paint on steel surfaces; and two coats of synthetic enamel paint on iron guard bars, gates, railings, and similar open work. Items being procured:
- Removing white/colour wash, distemper, plastic emulsion paint and weather resistant paint from plastered/un-plastered surface (5510 sqm)
- Surface preparation with alkali resisting primer on plastered wall or ceiling (5510 sqm)
- Two coats of weather resistant paint on exterior wall for old surface (5510 sqm)
- Burning off old paint or chemical removal (4400 sqm)
- First coat of red oxide paint on steel surfaces (4400 sqm)
- Two coats of synthetic enamel paint on iron guard bars, gates, railings, and similar open work (4400 sqm)
The technical scope requires experienced contractors with PEC registration in category C-6 or above, valid FBR NTN and GST registration, and inclusion on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL). Bidders must submit bid security in the form of a Pay Order amounting to PKR 325,000. The procurement will follow the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure using Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS). Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 portal by 11:00 AM on October 5, 2026, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Manual submissions will not be accepted. The bid security original must be submitted to the Office of the Resident Engineer, Quaid-i-Azam Mazar Management Board, Behind Quaid-i-Azam Mausoleum Karachi-5.
