Tender Description
This tender invites pre-qualification applications from contractors for a variety of electrical, mechanical, and civil works at HIT Taxila under the Military Engineer Services, CMES DP Taxila Cantt. The scope covers technical and repair works including artifice works, electrical sub-division tasks, water supply installations, AC maintenance, and fabrication of office structures.
The works involve complex site conditions at HIT Taxila, requiring expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, as well as civil construction. Contractors will handle tasks such as installation of automatic voltage regulators, epoxy flooring, and upgradation of water supply lines across multiple locations within the HIT premises. The project demands careful coordination of materials and skilled labor to meet the technical standards expected by MES.
Applicants must hold valid PEC categories A, B, C, D, or E and demonstrate financial stability with a clean FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status for the 2025-26 financial year. Tenderers should ensure their documentation complies with MES requirements, including submission of earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) equal to 2% of the estimated cost. This is crucial to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is set for 10th April 2026 at 11:30 AM, with bid opening scheduled the same day at 12:00 PM. Applications and tender documents must be submitted physically to the CMES DP office in Taxila Cantt. Interested firms should visit the office during working days to obtain detailed work information and ensure all credentials are complete.
Pro-Tip: Verify the specific stamp duty and earnest money requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement carefully, as these are common pitfalls that can lead to rejection of bids. Also, ensure your firm is on the approved MES contractor list to avoid last-minute disqualification.
